Ohio State senior All-American Katie Borchers was named Big Ten Cross Country Athlete of the Week Tuesday by the conference office.

Last season, Katie Borchers became the first cross country All-American in school history and an All-Big Ten performer. During the spring track season, she added to her outstanding junior campaign with a Big Ten championship in the 800-meter run.

The Ohio State women's cross country team raced to a sixth-place team finish at the 5k Notre Dame Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind., Friday afternoon. The Buckeyes were led by senior All-American Katie Borchers, who placed fourth overall.
