Anavia Battle was named the 2018 Big Ten Women's Freshman of the Year on Tuesday afternoon, an award voted on by league coaches. Earning the honor, Battle becomes just the second freshman in program history to receive this award joining the likes of Barbara Kester who won it in 1989.
