Adelaide Aquilla, a senior at Ohio State, set the collegiate women's shot put record on her first attempt with a mark of 64-5.25 (19.64m) at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Aquilla became the first female athlete to repeat since Raven Saunders won for Southern Illinois and Ole Miss in consecutive years in 2015-16. Aquilla equaled the No. 9 competitor in U.S. history and ascended to No. 4 in the world this year.
